We check your request, then offer it to one provider at a time who has told us they do that service in your ZIP code. Each provider gets a short window to accept: 30 minutes between 7am and 9pm Eastern, or 15 minutes for emergencies. If they pass, it moves to the next provider.
Only the provider who accepts sees your name, phone and email. They're expected to contact you within 6 business hours. You can follow the request, message the provider or ask for a different one from your free portal.
Tips for a better match
Be specific about the problem and the property. "AC blowing warm air, 2-story house, unit is about 12 years old" helps a provider far more than "AC issue." Mention anything that affects the job, like a gate code, pets, HOA approval or a tight deadline. Photos are optional but often save a trip.
Pick the timing that's true. Mark it as an emergency only if it really can't wait, like an active leak or no power, so emergency requests stay fast for the people who need them.
What it costs and what it doesn't
Sending a request is free, and there's no obligation to hire. Providers pay us a fee when they accept a request. The price of the work is between you and the provider, so get it in writing along with the scope and timeline before you agree.
Before you hire, check the provider's license on the Florida DBPR site and ask for proof of insurance. Our hiring checklist and quote comparison tool can help.
Homeowners can request help for the house they live in or own. Business owners, HOAs and property managers can send commercial or multi-unit requests, which go only to providers who take commercial work in that area. If you're arranging work for a property you manage, make sure you have the owner's permission.
