Version 1.1, effective October 17, 2026.
When you submit a request, you agree that Tampa Services and the one Provider handling your request may call, text or email you about that request (for example to ask questions, schedule a visit or give a quote). You can still use the platform if you later ask not to be texted; tell us and we will note it.
Marketing texts and emails are only sent if you check the separate, unchecked marketing box. Consent to marketing is not a condition of any purchase or service. By checking it you agree that Tampa Services may send recurring marketing text messages, which may be sent using automated technology, to the number you provide. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.
Consent is given only to Tampa Services, not to other companies. We do not sell or share mobile numbers or opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing.
Reply STOP to any text (or say stop in any reasonable way) and we will stop texting that number, usually right away and always within the time the law allows. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email; we honor it within 10 business days. Pros must honor every stop request the customer makes to them.
We follow the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and FCC rules, the CAN-SPAM Act, and the Florida Telephone Solicitation Act. Marketing calls and texts go out only between 8am and 8pm local time, include our name, and are not sent to numbers that opted out. Today, notices about your account are shown in your portal; we will turn on texts or email notices only after our messaging registration is approved.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Tampa Services runs a website and app that shares information and passes service requests to independent local businesses ("Providers"). We do not perform, supervise, direct, inspect or guarantee any repair, installation, construction, maintenance or other service. We are not a contractor, subcontractor, employer, agent, partner or joint venturer of any Provider or customer, and we are not a party to any estimate, contract or payment between a customer and a Provider.
Nothing on the platform is an offer by Tampa Services to do contracting work under Chapter 489, Florida Statutes. Any work is offered, priced, contracted, performed and warranted only by the Provider.
Where we show "License & insurance on file," it means only that a Provider gave us a number or document at a point in time. It is not a promise that a license or policy is current, valid or enough for your job. Verify a Provider yourself, for example at myfloridalicense.com, and ask for a certificate of insurance before work starts.
Our articles, cost ranges and checklists are general information, not legal, insurance, engineering, tax or financial advice. Local rules and permits vary. Confirm with your building department or a qualified professional.
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT A PROVIDER WILL BE AVAILABLE, RESPOND, QUOTE A PRICE, DO GOOD WORK OR FINISH A JOB, OR THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, TAMPA SERVICES, VSF MARKETING LLC AND THEIR OWNERS, MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES AND CONTRACTORS (THE "TAMPA SERVICES PARTIES") ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR FOR ANY ACT, OMISSION, WORK, PRODUCT, PRICE OR CONDUCT OF ANY PROVIDER, CUSTOMER OR ADVERTISER.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE PLATFORM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TAMPA SERVICES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) $100.
These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them, including liability for our own fraud or intentional misconduct.
Please read this section carefully. It affects your rights.
Talk to us first. Before starting any claim, send us a written description of the problem and what you want, using a support ticket at www.tampa.services/support/ with the subject "Legal notice." Both sides agree to try in good faith to resolve it for 30 days.
Binding arbitration. If we can't resolve it, any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the platform will be decided by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules (for consumers) or Commercial Arbitration Rules (for businesses), and the Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. The arbitrator decides all questions, including whether a claim must be arbitrated. Hearings will be held in Hillsborough County, Florida, by phone or video, or where the law requires. For consumer claims we pay the filing and arbitrator fees that the AAA Consumer Rules assign to a business.
Exceptions. Either side may bring an individual claim in small claims court in Hillsborough County, Florida if it qualifies, and either side may ask a court for an injunction to stop misuse of its intellectual property, data or platform.
Class-action waiver. Claims may be brought only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, consolidated or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not combine claims of more than one person. If this waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim (and only that claim) goes to court and the arbitration agreement does not apply to it.
Jury waiver. To the extent a claim goes to court, both sides waive a jury trial.
30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days after you first accept these terms by opening a support ticket with the subject "Arbitration opt-out" that includes your name, account email and a clear statement that you opt out. Opting out does not affect any other part of these terms.
Time limit. Any claim must be filed within one year after it arose, or it is permanently barred, unless the law requires a longer period.
Florida law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs the arbitration section. Subject to the arbitration section, the exclusive venue for any court action is the state courts in Hillsborough County, Florida or the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
Changes. We may update these terms. We will post the new version with a new version number and effective date and, for changes that materially affect your rights, tell you in your portal or ask you to accept again. Changes don't apply to a dispute we already know about. If you keep using the platform after a change takes effect, the new version applies.
Whole agreement. These terms, plus the Privacy Policy, the Communications & SMS Policy and the Review Policy, are the whole agreement about the platform. If a part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer these terms; we may transfer them with our business.
Electronic acceptance. Checking the box and creating an account (or submitting a request) is your electronic signature. We keep a record of which document, which version and when you accepted it.
