Why We Built Tampa Services: One Request, One Local Pro

The story behind Tampa Services, why we send each request to one local provider at a time, and the rules we hold ourselves to.

It started with a phone that wouldn't stop ringing

Ask almost anyone in Tampa Bay who has filled out a home service form online and you'll hear the same story. They asked for one quote and got five calls in ten minutes, then texts for weeks. Contractors tell the other side of it: they paid for a lead, called within a minute and still came in fourth.

We're a veteran-owned company in Tampa Bay and part of VSF Marketing, which has spent years helping local service businesses grow. We kept seeing both sides of that broken loop. Tampa Services is our attempt to fix it.

One request, one provider at a time

When you send a request, we offer it to one local provider who covers your ZIP code and does that kind of work. Providers take turns. If the first one doesn't accept in time, it moves to the next. Only the provider who accepts sees your name and phone number.

Once they accept, they're expected to contact you within 6 business hours. If they don't, we can move your request to the next provider and tell you in your portal. It's a simple rule, and it's written into our terms.

Free for you, fair for providers

Homeowners and business owners never pay us. Providers pay a fee from prepaid credits when they accept a request, and only for the requests they choose. If a lead is genuinely bad, like a fake number or a job outside their area, they can ask for a credit within 48 hours and a person reviews it.

We keep advertising separate. Only businesses that don't do the work we route can advertise, every ad is labeled Sponsored, and ads never affect who gets your request.

What we won't do

We won't call providers vetted, best or guaranteed. Providers give us license and insurance information, which we keep on file, and requests pause when a document expires. That's information at a point in time, so we always ask you to check a license yourself before you hire.

We won't write, buy or hide reviews. Only customers on completed jobs can leave one, and negative reviews are published under the same rules as positive ones.

We won't pretend to cover places we don't. We serve six counties: Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando, Polk and Sarasota. If we can't find a provider for your job, we'll tell you.

Everything in writing

Our Homeowner Terms, Business Owner Terms, Pro Agreement and Advertiser Agreement are written in plain English, with a short summary at the top of each. When you send a request or join, you'll see exactly what you're agreeing to. If something on the site ever reads differently from the agreements, the agreements win, and we want to hear about it.

Where we're headed

We're starting small on purpose, building a network of local providers county by county, beginning with Pinellas. We'll add services and areas as real coverage grows, not before. If you're a homeowner or business owner, tell us what you need. If you're a local pro, we'd like to meet you.
